Guest Posted June 19, 2006 Posted June 19, 2006 One of our preschool families is appealing for a place in the school of their choice. The father asked me today what sort of questions the panel were likely to ask. Not having been through the system I don't know. Any suggestions? Al Quote
Guest Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 I would have thought that the chance of a successful appeal would be slim unless there are over-arching circumstances, such as a statemented child with full- time support, or if the parents can prove that the admissions procedures were not followed correctly. Infant schools have a maximum legal class size of 30 and are not allowed to exceed this under normal circumstances. Quote
Guest Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 We think the chances are slim too but they were not offered a place at any of the 3 schools on their application and refuse to send her to the one they were offered. Al Quote
