Sassoon?

Hi

Does anybody know where I can download the font 'Sassoon' for free? or has anyone used a different font for their 'writing' area?

I am trying to make some alphabet charts, with letters which are easily recognisable (you know what I mean - no funny 'a' like the one I've just typed etc. )

Thought I'd found a good free font called 'national primary' - but the letter 'o' has got a funny squiggly bit on the top.

Any help - much appreciated

Thanks

Hi Myhenroxanne.

I have searched the internet looking for free downloads of this font, but it seems everywhere charges for it. There was a thread a little while back though that was talking about the same thing. You might find it useful to have a look. Click here!

Thanks a million for the links Clare!

Saved me loads of time.

Have just sent an email to Sassoon website, as I think I might be able to purchase it using my eLc's. Fingers crossed - (if not back to the drwing board!!)

At school we don' t have Primary Sassoon so teachers use a range of fonts especially in KS2. The only problem with comic sans for display as I see it is the "t"- some children see that struggle with the 't' and just produce it as the stick t (no curved bottom, if that makes sense). I bought Primary sasson from an American site (therefore not sure of cost as I'm rubbish at currency conversion) I tend to use primary sasson for most of my displays, but do make sure that children see a range of fonts and handwritten labels produced with the children.

Purchasing Sasoon is well worth it, I have saved hours when making laminated name cards for use with whiteboard marker pens, using the Primary Infant Tracker and the Primary Infant Dotted. :)

I like National Primary too. I used a 'tool' the name of which escapes me at the moment but basically you can edit your fonts. I think it began with an f which is no help I know! You got a 30 day free trial download. I got rid of the squiggly o that way..

China cat is nice too. That you can get free
