Rea Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Does anyone know the story about planning a trip to italy and having the plane land in Holland? Its really to do with being pregnant, planning for the baby only to find the child has special needs. You still get the holiday but the currency is wrong and you havent learnt the right language. Hope someone knows what I'm talking about

Gezabel Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 OOps! forget to include the follow up! Celebrating Holland -I'm home was written 10 years or so after the baby was born, You might like to know that 'the baby' graduated from high school in America in 1994. With a friend, another chap with Down syndrome, he wrote a book called 'Count us in : growing up with Down syndrome'. He has spent three years on a post-secondary transtional programme to prepare him for independant living and recently moved into his own apartment in New York. Celebrating_Holland.doc
