Reports for children going to school

Hello, just wanted to get some idea of whether your Early Years Settings/Pre Schools write reports for the children going off to school. 

Do you write them and give a copy to both the parents and school? Or just the school? Or neither.

Hi Emma, 

When I was teaching at a preschool attached to a school (a few years ago now!) we did do a simple report summary about each child's development and time at nursery. We gave a copy to each family, and to both parents where applicable. This was in addition to their learning journal. 😊

We write a summary feedback each term and a report at the end of term on tapestry. these are shared with parents and with their permission school. our borough has no transition forms.
