Hello all

I am finding more and more when recruiting, that companies and even other settings are refusing to provide references.  They will only confirm someone's dates of employment.  Is this standard practice these days?  How do I go about getting a proper reference and if I can't, how does it reflect our Safer Recruitment policy?
