Guest
Hi, I don't know how i've managed to do this, but i've worked in a day nursery for the past 3 years in a management position and have somehow never heard of ever child matters until very recently! Now every thing i read refers to this and i just wondered where I could find out more info, and how I incoporate it in the day to day running of the nursery. I'd really appreciate any feedback. Many thanks

Guest
Welcome - I think someone else has already given you the website - there are lots of websites you can see - OFSTED have a fantastic website too - they give all sorts of things that you will find useful especially for your self evaluation and the outcomes for children. I think you will find that you may have quite a bit of reading to catch up on but there is plenty of stuff available here and on the various websites to help you out. Guest
Welcome from me too, yes as others have said, plenty of reading for you to "enjoy" during your Easter break. The main effect on a daily practical basis is to have regard to the 5 Outcomes, these are now the basis of Ofsted inspections. Try the search on this site ( top right hand corner - blue tab, enter 5 outcomes) as these have been discussed before. Any further questions re 5 outcomes, links to Standards, Inspection etc just ask. Peggy
