Is there a way to disable comments on an observation at all? Or approve comments first?

We have been sending out group observations regarding Covid and some parents have begun to use it almost like a Facebook post and I am not keen on their comments being viewed by all to see.

Thank you

Hi Claire_Stemp,

Thank you for your query!

I am afraid it is not possible to review and approve a comment before it gets published, but there is a user permission that will allow you to determine whether parents can comment on group observations or not.

You can find this by going to control panel > user permissions > relatives > observations. Here, you'll see a permission titled 'Comment on group observations'. To remove the permission, click on 'edit' and then select the default setting to be 'not permitted'. Make sure you save when you are done! From that point forward, relatives will not be able to comment on any group observations.

I hope this was helpful!

Best wishes,

Olaya

Hi Claire_Stemp,

No worries at all :)

Indeed, it is not possible to pick and choose which observations allow comments and which don't. We will keep your suggestion in mind for future development, though!

Do let us know if there's anything else we can do for you.

Best wishes,

Olaya
