Guest
We are having great difficulty in getting in out '4 days curriculum training' per year. In fact we cant seem to get on any courses, they are all full or too far away. One staff member tried to get on the 'birth to three's course in October 06 and was told it was fully booked!!! Anyway, I was wondering if any of you use 'in house' training providers that come to your setting and do all the staff at once? I have tried looking on the net but cant find anything! Thanks Jenni
Guest
At my last nursery we had 'in house' training courses as we could never seem to get on any courses. We got in touch with our local early years team and made arrangements with them to come to the nursery and train us there, usually of an evening after work. We did child protection, behaviour management and birth to threes all in house. Try asking your local early years team if they can help, or else, they might be able to put you in touch with someone that can.
Marion
Have you looked at Sure Start in your area they seem to be providing the bulk of training in my county.
