Horley Sure Start Children’s Centre

 

Experienced Outreach Worker

To start as soon as possible

Fixed Term until 31st March 2019

(30 hours per week over 4 days - Monday-Thursday)

 

Horley Children’s Centre plays a central role in improving outcomes for young children and their families with a focus on supporting families in the greatest need.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated outreach worker with experience of supporting families including home visiting to join our small but busy team for this exciting opportunity.

 

     We are looking for a person who has:

·          A full and relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent in early years, childcare or health & social care

·          Hold, or be prepared to work towards an NVQ level 3 in parenting

·          A background in working with families and children, including home visiting

·          A good working knowledge and understanding of the issues facing parents

·          Excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly and independently

·          A full clean driving Licence and use of car essential.

 

  Terms

·        Fixed Term contract: To start as soon as possible and up until 31st March 2019

·        All year round - 30 hours per week  (will include occasional evenings and weekends)

·        Over 4 days (Monday – Thursday – Core hours 9am-3pm-the remaining 6 hours are flexible)

·        Surrey S7 FTE £24,642 - £28,590 pro-rata / Actual salary £20,535 - £23,825

·        Based at Meath Green Infant School, Kiln Lane, Horley, RH6 8JG
