Staff inductions

I am writing a feature for Nursery Management on staff inductions – and the importance of them. I’d like to hear from early years staff that may have had a poor or great induction - and what impact this may have had your experience of the job.
​Also, is there any standard guidance on inductions?

Not staff but management myself.

I take time to go through a checklist of items on staff's first day. But there is always so many things going through new person's head that I try to follow up a few weeks later. I do not have a deadline as such but try within 3 months.

 

It sort of helps to get my message about safeguarding and health and safety across.
