garrison Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 A mum approached me today concerned about her 3 year old. He can make himself vomit at the sight of certain foods, even if they are only on the TV. We haven't noticed anything here but he has gone home this week having not eaten his sandwiches and mum told me this -they had made the sandwiches together so he knew what was on them. When she later asked why he hadn't eaten them he said 'because they had cheese on them.' He knew there wasn't cheese on them and when she said this to him he replied 'daddy came down in the night and put the cheese on!' I haven't ever come across this before but it seems to me this is a mental issue rather than just being fussy. I have suggested she sees her GP but has anyone else got any ideas??
zigzag Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 I would totally agree that this needs a professionals advice and help before it escalates any more. It may just be a fad but I would be extremely concerned if I was the parent. Wonder if they have a good health visitor who may be able to refer him to the appropriate people.
