Marylandteam Posted February 28, 2017 Share Posted February 28, 2017 On a slightly different thread, can you set Tapestry up so that parents can view their child's journal but not be able to comment on it or add an obersation? EmilyTapestrySupport Posted March 1, 2017 Share Posted March 1, 2017 Hi, It's not possible to set it so that parents can only view their child's learning journal, and not comment or add an observation. Two settings that you might want to consider are: 'Require staff review before relative observations are added to journals' - this means that observations added by any relative stays not in a child's learning journal until a member of staff publishes it. This setting can be found on the control panel -> settings -> observations. 'Remove relatives ability to reply on observations with multiple children.' - this means that relatives do not get the opportunity to comment on any group observations. This setting can be found by going to the control panel -> settings -> relatives. Please note both of these are blanket settings so will apply to all relatives.
