Guest
We've had a lady applyfor a job we advertised and she sounds perfect only issue is the qualification she has. She has a level 3 in supporting teaching and learning in schools. How do I go about checking whether this qualification is suitable for early years 0-4 or not. I'm thinking it doesn't sound like it would be but I don't want to dismiss her application without checking first. Mouseketeer
hi, it looks like it depends on whether she has the nvq3 or certificate in it : http://www.education.gov.uk/eypqd/search/search_results.cfm?Title=supporting+teaching+and+learning+in+schools&AwardingBodyID=&QualLevels=3&Search=Search Edited September 15, 2016 by Mouseketeer
totsrus
The following is from the Department for Education Early years qualifications list Qualifications started before September 2014 Practitioners who completed or registered for a qualification before 1 September 2014 must hold a qualification that meets the full and relevant criteria to be counted in the level 3 ratios. Level 3 NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools is on the list as full and relevant. So if your lady registered for her qualification before 1st September 2014 she has a full a relevant qualification.
