Guest Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I'm really hoping someone can help me with this 1. I am a childminder opening a nursery. Ratios are really giving me a headache at The moment. Is it written anywhere what therefore for over 5's are in a nursery setting? It is mainly going to be used by the staff's children. I have a 7 year old also son need to still be able to have him before/after school and in hols. Any help Would be greatly appreciated ???? Quote
GFCCCC Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Children under 8 have to be counted in the 1:8 ratio so if you bring any children between 5 and 8 years into the setting after school, the ratio remains the same. If they are taking the place of children who have gone home, you should be okay, but if they are in addition, you will need extra staff. 1 Quote
