Let's hear it for Ikea cups. Brightly coloured, almost indestructible and cheap! No wonder he's the richest man in the world! :D

Don't think I've spoken to you before Catma - welcome to the forum and thanks for your good advice!

Another plug for IKEA, I'm afraid, but their clear plastic jugs with lids are very good as well!! :o

Just to let everyone know- my snack bar is going really well. The chidlren have got into a routine and take themsleves off to have a snack. There is good interaction between the chidlren and one usually seems to take on the role of 'checker' to check if everyone has drunk 'enough' of theri milk.

If the 'checker' says 'no you have to drink more' the others seem to listen without arguing and then drink some more before being checked again! :o

I'm really pleased. It stays open between 10 to 10.45 and water is also availbale- though I have to get into the routine of putting out cups.

After reading lots of posts about Snack Bars we have inititated ours this week, I was a little sceptical to start, but its really working well.

We don't have to rush children as before, there is far more socialising, only one child has been greedy so far!!! - and now we have an extra 15/20 mins for child initiated play - can't be bad. :D

We would never have even considered this without this forum so thank you everyone. :D
