annah
I will be taking over as acting supervisor in two weeks and have three year 10 work experience students coming in!!! I would like to put together a welcome pack to help them get the most out of their time with us. Any ideas what to include? We are a small sessional morning preschool. Thank you. Fredbear
Hi we have also had work experience students from school. The school should normally come and do a health/ safety check and students come into introduce themselves and have a necessary induction( this would also include our policies). Check your insurance covers them too. We asked them to fill in a personal details forms including next of kin details, allergies or any other requirements whilst with us. I tend to buddy them up with a staff member to enable them to get the most from the experience. So this might include helping to set up an area. Engaging with the children and adults. Creative activities, sharing books, songs and story-time. Make it fun. I have to say the majority are shocked by how hard it is.
