Ive just been sent this by the PSLA and thought that some of you might like to have the chance to take part;

Dear Colleagues

This is an urgent request:

The BBC are interested in doing a broadcast report on underfunding in the early years and are looking for case studies of settings in areas where there has been very little or no change in funding rates over the past few years ideally at least one in or near London and at least completely elsewhere.

At this stage, the BBC would just like to speak informally to the settings, with a view to interviewing them for a broadcast report and filming at the setting at a later date (TBC).

We anticipate a lot of interest in this, so will operate on a first come first served basis, in fairness to all.

We would like to send the BBC a few provisional contacts as soon as possible next week.

Please confirm the following:

- Their address and opening hours (i.e. when they would be available for filming if needed)

- Their local authority

- Their current (2015/2016) funding rate, and how this compares to 2014/2015 (and 2013/2014 if they can remember)

- Their willingness to be interviewed for a BBC broadcast report at their setting, if required.

If interested please contact Shannon Hawthorne, Public Affairs and Press Manager at Shannon.hawthorne@pre-school.org.uk , as soon as possible or at the latest early next week.
