starsdance Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I have had somebody apply for a job who was schooled in Sri Lanka and I am a bit confused over their qualifications. She says she took GCSE's in 1992 and achieved the following: English C (Credit pass) and Maths D (Distinction pass). Is there anyway of finding out if these are equivalent to our GCSE's to meet the criteria laid down? Quote
Fredbear Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Hi if you type in Sri Lankan grade system, then look up on class base it might help you check whether they are compatible with the British system. Hope this helps. Quote
Guest Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 You can also get a formal statement from NARIC to compare overseas qualifications but this costs. I would expect someone coming from overseas to have done this so that they can apply for jobs, I had New Zealand qualifications and needed to get a NARIC statement in order to get a job here in a school. I think it cost about £40 and was done online. Quote
