Interview help please!

Hi there,

This is my first post here, I am currently a reception teacher looking for a change! My degree specialised in early years.

I miss the true EYFS experience and am hoping to get stuck into a nursery.

I have been offered an interview for head of early years practice in a private nursery, they have both a nursery manager and head of early years practice in the setting.

Has anybody any interview advice/tips?

I am really excited about the change and know the EYFS is where my heart is.

Thanks

Kate

good luck ! i'm interviewing currently for a different type of post but I can tell you what I want to see if it helps, I want to hear about team work, how do they motivate and support other team members, how do they keep up to date with legislation and new schemes, how do they view next steps and their implementation for instance the process not end result, how they value play for what it is and the love of play, how they follow interests and provide challenge to children, how do they plan for coel, ideas for developing all three prime areas and targeting children who are not developing as expected alongwith how to engage parents promoting the eyfs to them. I want to see passion and a love of the job! so many people lack this and its so disheartening ----- think i may have set my hopes too high ha ha ha ha
