Guest
Hi! I am just wondering if anyone has every done magic reindeer dust before? I have done it in the past and is a lovely thing to give the children at the end of term. It is just porrige oats mixed with glitter and put in a small bag tied with ribbon. The reason why i'm asking is becasue their is a small rhyme that goes with it but I can't find a copy of that rhyme..! The idea is that the magic dust helps santas reindeer find their way to the childs house/door incase he can't get down the chimmney or there is no chimmney. If anyone knows the rhyme could they let me know thanks!
Inge
havent heard a rhyme, sure to be one but I have seen it done as a letter from Santa to the child as below., it was put it on headed paper, and looked quite effective ..... Dear....... On Christmas Eve, before you go to bed, sprinkle this magic reindeer food on your lawn. The magic glitter sparkling in the moonlight and the smell of the oats will help guide Rudolph to your house. Merry Christmas! Inge
Guest
Is this the poem you thinking of: Reindeer Dust Sometimes it's foggy and at night hard to see. I do have Rudolph's nose but what if on the blink it goes! Getting to your house is certainly a must! So on Christmas Eve sprinkle this Reindeer Dust. It guarantees we'll be there as magic lights up the night, And his favorite smell of oats guides Rudolph with delight! Love, Santa

Guest
Ours is simpler! When Santa's sleigh is full of toys ready for Christmas Day, use this magic Christmas Dust to help him find his way. Just sprinkle it outside your door, the glitter will give a light, the reindeer will smell the oats and bring Santa on Christmas Night. My parents committee organise personal letters from Santa plus a film canister of Christmasd dust as a fundraiser at Christmas, bless them.
