Guest
Hi, Does anyone know where I can download lists of resources that should be in all Areas of Learning. I would like to use them as an audit of provision. Thanks
Guest
I don't think there's any specific "should" list. It's up to you what you class as continuous provision.
BevE
Have you seen the ECERS book. There is specific training that you can go on but it allows you to rate your learning environment and can give you ideas of where you may need to add/change your provision. As Harmony said I don't think there is a specific list of what should be on offer, and it should change depending on your current cohorts interests. chez29
I would say the same, use the ITERS or ECERS books. We use this but rotate resources between the rooms with what's on offer.
Guest youngrisers
Love the ITERS and ECERS book to keep us on track with our continuous provision. also look at best practice guidelines as this can help plan for any SEND children. thumperrabbit
I've just googled ECERS and found the website. There's a lot of info on there what would people advise that I look at? I work in a committee run, pack away pre-school with ages 2-4yrs
mundia
Hi thumper. Ecers R is probably what you want if you have 2.5 to 5 year old. I'm not ECERS'S greatest fan but it does help you look at resources you might have in each area. There is a new version just coming our Way called ECERS 3 which I believe looks more at the teaching and interactions, but I am not sure exactly when it will be available here.
Guest
I think so long as you're offering a range of experiences, then it's up to you. I know early education do a booklet about core experiences for the EYFS that might help you out too.
