Hi All

This is my last question on this unit could anyone be kind enough to give me some pointers...

KE.14,30,31 Range 1a,b,c,d,e 2a,b,c pc 2,4,5,6

Messages children pick up from society.

- A 3 year old boy tells a 4 year old girl she cant be a train driver because she’s a girl

- A group of 4 year old girls tell a boy in a wheelchair he cant join in because he’s a baby

- A 6 year old white girl wont hold the hand of a 4 year old black boy because he’s dirty

What could be the effect of not challenging this behaviour on?

- The child who is hurt

- The child who has shown the hurtful behaviour.

Provide other examples under the following headings of anti-social behaviour:

- Racist

- Sexist

- Abusive in other ways

- Explain how you would handle and deal with anti-social behaviour. Provide examples of play and learning experiences that you see to promote positive interactions between children and adults from various social and cultural backgrounds.
