Guest
Dear all, I was wondering if anyone may be able to advise me? I have agreed to take on the role of registered person at the nursery at which I am manager. I need to find out how this process works and what needs to be done. I have tried to ask ofsted but can't seem to get through to any one on their enquire line. I believe that I need to fill out an EY2 form but I can't seem to get hold of this on the website. Advise would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
woodlands1997
You can do it online I think http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/early-years-and-childcare/become-childcare-provider-or-childminder/register-provide-childcare-non-domestic-premises Pretty sure this is what you need to fill in! barcombeplaygroup
If you mean nominated person then yes you need to fill in an EY2, I am just in the process of doing the same thing as our last nominated person has stepped down and although I am the manager and already known to Ofsted they have said that I need to fill in an EY2 form. SazzJ
Yes ey2. Pretty straight forward. I discovered by chance that my nominated person had stepped down. So annoyed that they failed to inform me!
eyfs1966
Funnily enough I was searching the Ofsted site for EY2 form just yesterday. It took me ages.....I'll try and find it again and post If I have any luck.
eyfs1966
Whoops, it was the EY3 I was looking for. If you need an EY2, Ofsted will send it to you on receipt of the EY3. if it is the EY3 you need, here is a link http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/resources/childcare-registration-form-notification-ofsted-ey3
Guest
Thank you every one, seem to have found it direct via ofsted online… they don't half make it complicated.
DebbieW
I had to have a suitablility interview with an Ofsted Inspector to check as Manager of the setting whether I was 'suitable' to be the nominated person. I passed but also had to fill out a health questionnaire next and pay £35 to my GP to confirm my medical history!
SazzJ
Mine charged £70 for my health declaration although they sent it off and have not asked for payment as I was told I needed to return to collect it. Rang every 2/3 days for 4 weeks and was told still not done. Then hit Christmas Eve got a phone call to book interview x
