Guest Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Just an idle thought- but how would you go about setting up a research project in an early years setting? I know enough to realise you'd definitely need a ethics section and lots of permissions- but it might be interesting ... Thanks
SueJ Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Rationale, aims and objectives of the research project, plans for sharing and disseminating the findings from the research, ethics most def (see BERA) for guidelines http://www.bera.ac.uk/, impact that the research will have (if any) on setting practice, permissions, literature review analysing what research around the topic has already been conducted, focus groups, data collection instruments, triangulation of evidence - just to name a few
Guest Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Thanks Sue J That should keep me out of trouble for a while. x
Guest Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 My research project for my BA was setting based. I looked at parent partnership. I think you need to be interested in the topic and for there to be a point to the work..... Will the results be used to make a difference?
