trekker Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Hi I think I know the answer but just wanted to check in advance of a possible staffing issue - normally I'd have 2 level three staff and myself (an EYP) in but if I have two 2 yr olds and 11 over 3's in on a session (13 total) would I be able to run with myself and one other level 3 staff member? Don't especially want to work with these ratios but with staff off Ill this week im checking in advance what may need to happen and if I need to close at all. Quote
Guest Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I thought the ratio of one to four for under twos stood regardless of qualifications! So I would say two staff for those 13 children! Of course that's only my opinion! Quote
Guest Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 fine here too - 2 of your three year old's make up the 1:4 ratio for two's. This leaves 9 three year old's so you are 1 over but covered by being EYP (as long as you are working with them so lock the door, switch off the doorbell and don't answer the phone - bliss!) Quote
Greenfinch Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 You can have 13 as an EYP ( if you wanted to!) Quote
trekker Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Thank you...as I thought...staff off sick so had to work all day (8 hrs) today with no break at all so not looking forward to another full on day with even more stretched ratios but needs must I guess. May have to avoid liquids so I don't need the toilet though...! Quote
