Guest
Hi, Currently decorating the bedroom. Has anyone tried the new Suede Paints? I've been watching too many "Style" programmes and want to create some texture on my walls. I've had some info from the web, but can't "feel" the texture from pictures If you've tried this paint, does it feel soft like suede? Verona
Do the shop sell sample pots of suede paint for you to try out, Peggy? Sue J
Guest
Well yes, but they are £3 each, being a skinflint and wondered if anyone else has tried suede on a whole wall. Thanks Sue. Peggy
bubblejack
I have tested one of these Peggy. they do have a very matt appearance. It would be O.K. on a small section ofthe room but didn,t reflect any light at all. You have to apply it in a certain way. i.e. large brush strokes. Gezabel
I haven't personally tried it but my neighbour has and to great effect! It literally looks as though she has stuck suede on the wall, I couldn't believe it was paint. She has it on one wall in her lounge - mind you she says the secret is all in the application! (She went to evening class to do interior design as well!)
Guest
Thanks, definately can't afford or have the time for evening class. Tried a tester pot but to me it seems like the paint just has small sand grains in it, and it felt quite rough We've decided to go for "Chocolate white" (I'm a Milky Bar Kid at heart ) and Elegant cream, which is actually a fawny light brown colour. Oh decisions, decisions, I love watching the programmes but worry I'll get it all wrong when I'm actually painting my own walls.( well hubbys painting, I'm just choosing the colours ) Peggy
