Guest
Just looking for some advice and guidance whilst I wait for county to come back to me. We're thinking of coming away from the development matters for planning and focusing purely on the characteristics instead. So everything would be based around the 3 areas. Any thoughts? hannt
Sounds like a great idea but why not combine the two? I am sure we all subconsciously plan for characteristics as unless the children are hooked in and interested in what they are doing they will not engage with it anyway. Good luck, would like to hear how it works for you.
Rufus
If you are doing away with development matters, what else are you going to use instead to focus you on the skills? It may be okay for experienced members of staff but certainly my younger staff members that have not seen all the changes we have, would need something to guide them if we were to remove development matters. Guest
That's what we are looking at, we think we would link the characteristics when we observe to the development matters, we're thinking that that it may be easier to plan using them then the aspects. It's just an idea at the moment lol and all ideas and thoughts encouraged.
