Nugget
hi all we are having a but if self doubt with our base lining. we are desperately trying not to use the outcomes as a tick list but how do you show if children are just within or well with in a band without marking off statements. how do you all go about baselines? Lucie
I look at the statements as a whole in the band, I then think, are they just beginning to do these things, no, better, are they doing these things very well and consistently, no, then I would decide developing. If that makes sense. I don't look at individual statements to make a judgements because that's not how they work. I also moderate judgements by looking at a group of children that I have put in the same place in the same band and check that these children are all working at the same place developmentally.
