Does the manager have to go on a trip too?

Hi there,

we have our annual trip out to the zoo next week. All of the children are going (with one parent) and so are all of the staff.

 

Much as I'd love to go, I have a mountain of paperwork and would really be better off staying at work and sorting it out.

 

Would this be deemed as ok? My deputy is going along too and there are first aiders going as well.

I don't go out on all my trips. As long as you have a competent deputy and your risk assessment is Ok I don't see why you should go.
