Is it standard practise for the EYFS leader not to have any experience in Early Years and not be the Reception teacher? I am the Reception teacher, responsible for everything EYFS and provide regular feedback to SMT for assessment, progress etc. The EYFS leader openly admits knowing zero about early years - are other people in this situation? I am considering looking for an EYFS leader position as I feel a little overlooked in my current role. Any thoughts would be gratefully received. Thanks! Scarlettangel Posted May 9, 2013 Share Posted May 9, 2013 We didn't have a FS leader/ co ordinator for ages but the head of KS1 kind of over saw us! Didn't work well.
