Hi I wondered if anyone could help, I am being observed at the end of our farm topic, 2 days after our farm trip in the afternoon. I need an exciting activity for inside and outside and different learning opportunities set up (we have been doing babies, food, machines, farms in general alongside shape) does anyone have any ideas at all? Any help will be greatly appreciated as my last obs did not go well :( xx

what year group? and what is the focus of the observation?

It can be anything really! I guess because its the afternoon it would be better to focus on EA & D, mine could probably do with a focus on drawing objects and maybe using tools to shape, assemble and join materials...

painting observational pictures/drawing them using photos from trip as visual reminder? making animal homes from junk modelling - can they name them? sty/barn/hen house etc? again use photos from trip. outside - use crates/hollow blocks to make farm? or animal homes etc?

Hi, I have planned the following just want to run it by everyone because I don't want to get this wrong. I am doing 2 adult led activities, 1 outside, 1 inside for the morning. I have 3 groups of 3 children who will each do both activities at some point during free flow.

The focus is Understanding Sentences inside - we are matching up sentences to our farm book with pictures we have from our farm trip last week then we will be cutting them up and re sorting them into order

The focus outside is writing labels - for plants (they will have planted seeds the previous day)

What do you think? Any advise will be gratefully received! xx
