Our head is completing the Sef form and wants to know how do we quantify the progress of the children in the nursery over the year? Obviously we keep individual records but we dont have any system that gives them a score at the beginning and then at the end like the FSP so you can analyse the whole group. the Advisor isnt much help and I'm panicking because OFSTED is aroun the corner!!! Anyone know of anything ?

We are in exactly same position - need to acknowledge it as an area for development on sef, make sure its on your action plan and make sure it is on some team meeting minutes (to show that you are beginning to take action). This is what we're doing, hope its enough!!!

Our borough has us highlighting stepping stones at end of N to show where the chdn are so we are going to start this from beginning of N (prob focussing on CLL,Maths mainly due to coverage - cant assess everything at once) until we find something better.
