Madmum Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Hi! As one of thier 2 PE sessions a week, our reception class do dance. ( alhtough to me it's more like the music and movement we did many moons ago!). I may be doing this as part of PPA in January and wonderd if anyone could recommend a programme wiht CD and plans? - I don't wnat to reinvent the wheel. The school used to use some very outdated cassettes so I want to be more up to date!!!
Guest Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 We use sticky kids CDs but they too are more movement to music than actual dance. . . . .
Guest Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 We use some of those old dance tapes but also Top dance CD from Leicestershire pe scheme x
Guest LornaW Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I love doing some simple country dancing with older reception. All that skipping and do-si-do -ing is excellent for co-ordination helps with writing and also good excersise!
Guest Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 The bbc schools radio 'Let's move' series is good as it links to other areas of the profile as well as dance.
