Guest Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Hello! We are starting a new topic based around prehistoric life/dinosaurs which will last around 4 weeks (depending on the interests of the children). Ideally I would like 4 focus books for the topic and several books to support, after researching dinosaur books on the internet i now have a very long list but i am unsure of which are of the best quality texts as i havnt read many of them! This is the list which i have compiled: Harry and the bucketful of dinosaurs Katie and the dinosaurs Zog Stomp, chomp, big roars, here come the dinosaurs Dinosaurs love underpants Tyrannosaurus drip Trouble at the dinosaur cafe Saturday night at the dinosaur stomp Dinosaurs galore! Bumpus, jumpus, dinosaurumpus Crunch, munch, dinosaur lunch The dinosaur egg How do dinosaurs say goodnight (plus a variety of non-fiction!!!) Could anyone recommend which books they have used for this topic please? Thank you in advance!
Guest Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 "How to grow a dinosaur" is a really good book, cant remember the Author but will look tomorrow when i go into work.
ForestFlo Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Our children loved Dinsosaur Roar ( opposites) , DInosaurs Galore and Dinosaur rumpus (great for rhythm/movement). Check out the dinosaur eggs on Alastair Bryce-Cleggs Blog - we made these in the summer and were great fun! Kirsty
Guest ChunkyMan Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 My kids loved 'Dinosaur roar', they were able to learn it off by heart (talk 4 writing) plus there is a non-fiction book related to it called 'Dinosaur more'. Loved 'Ten terrible dinosaurs' too. Cx
