Guest Posted July 19, 2012 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Hi everyone, I manage a 3 form entry foundation stage (3 reception classes and 2 nursery classes) and am looking for some advice on how you organise staffing and how you work timetables. Would be interesting to see some timetables if anyone has any to share, as we have only just become 3 form entry. Any advice would be appreciated! becs08 Posted July 22, 2012 Share Posted July 22, 2012 Hi bow961. We are three form entry in reception from september and also have morning and afternoon nursery groups. From visiting some other 3-form schools in our area its very clear that you need to have a tight timetable so that everyone knows what they are doing. For example the outdoor area times and who is going out also snack times etc. Our actual timetable hasnt changed that much. The only thing we have had to change is free flow because of the location at the moment of the new classroom. We have gone back to keeping our own class and timetabling outdoor time. Although it might be a blessing when we are looking for a particular child because they can only be in 2 places rather than 4! It may change as the year develops but we will see.
