Guest
Hi all hope you are all well. Jake is at the childminders for the afternoon so i am desperately trying to get some work done before i go back to work on monday after having a year off on maternity leave I was wondering if anyone had created a long term plan using the new EYFS that they would be willing to let me have a look at? Many thanks Lou (Jakesmummy) xx
hali
Hi, I think you will find that many people do not use long term plans anymore. Just medium (maybe) and short or daily plans.
garrison
Our long term plan just includes the time of year, festivals, special events etc So in September its all about new admissions, settling in etc Nov/Dec is about Divali, Xmas etc July is about going to school and so on
Guest
Long term planning is very brief i.e. what happens in each month of the year then you can broaden it with your short-term planning - remember it is only one planned observation a month for each child and a couple spontanous ones that can be linked to the planned. :1b
