Guest Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Hi, everybody, has any one some fun, funky days of the week rhymes. I and my children are bored with our standard which is: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday too, One, two, three, four, five, six seven days, each day different and every day new. There must be some more, please.
Guest Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Isn't that dull! when I saw the title of your post, that was the one song I thought of, and I'm not going to be of any help as I can't think of any more either!!

Guest Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 What's the tune to that? We sing it to a version of Twinkle twinkle little star and I thought I'd made it up! I've never heard it before! We jazz it up by putting clapping rhythm to it - clap hands, clap knees (on the word "day"). We start on Monday and for the two weekend days we throw our arms up in the air to signify the weekend. heyjude
Guest Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Hi This one is from Bobby Shaftoe Clap Your Hands-it is sung to the tune of This Old Man. Monday's here Monday's here Monday's here now is that clear? Do a puzzle wouldn't that be fun? Lots to do for everyone. Repeat with Tuesday, Wednesday etc. but with a different activity such as paint a picture, play some music. The children could think of different activities. We are introducing this in September for the start of the keyworker group for the older children and singing the verse for that particular day. Linda
Guest Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 To the tune "The Adams Family" (if you remember it!): Days of the week (clap, clap) Days of the week (clap, clap) Days of the week, days of the week, days of the week (clap, clap) There's Sunday and there's Monday, There's Tuesday and there's Wednesday, There's Thursday and there's Friday And then there's Saturday Days of the week (clap, clap) Days of the week (clap, clap) Days of the week, days of the week, days of the week (clap, clap)
