Guest Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Hi all We're having a world of work week next week. We have some of the emergency services coming in however I need some input sessions on other jobs for the odd morning or afternoon. Any suggestions? Thank you! Jayne
Guest Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 I would dress up as someone from a different occupation and do sum hotseating get ur teaching assistant involved too maybe ask them to dress up or help with modelling good questions. Enter the classrom as the different person and share tips on questioning - I have the question hand that says who, what , where, when, how and why on each finger. Children to ask u questions about the occupation to find out more. On the second day maybe a child dressed up and answers the questions for another persons occupation
catma Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Why not look at al the jobs done in the school - at least there will be first hand experience and you would be working from the child's erspective and understanding. Or see if the parents can share their roles? Cx
