Guest
Hi all you lovely FSF eople. Wondering if you can help. We are due dreded Ofsted very soon, and I would really like to get an EYFS display in our shared area nursery & Reception. Does anyone have any photos or ideas that suggest ways that of promoting EYFS. I was thinking of dividing the display board into the four principles...Enabling Env, Pos Relationships etc. Any ideas on what we could do. Any tips i would be extrememy gratefu. xxxxxl
Guest
I would be tempted to use photographs to illustrate the various areas in a way that shows the practical implications of each area. . . . The parents would then see exactly what each area meant in a user friendly sense!
Stargrower
We made a display with photos under the headings "A Unique Child at X nursery" "Enabling Environments at X nursery" etc. We added a brief blurb about each heading and changed the photos fairly regularly. Gezabel
We have four pin boards each covered in 'backing paper' of the Eyfs theme colours. The theme and commitment is printed in the middle of each board and photographs around the board with 'explanations' underneath. Have received lots of positive comments and interestingly the one we hear most is that it's nice to photographs of children not looking at the camera, real 'in action' pictures
Guest
Hi rainbow, we did exactly what you said, divided the board into 4 sections, backed with the colours from the eyfs then added photos of the children to illustrate the different statements. Mr & Mrs O were impressed when they came
