just trying to organise myself the the new 'year' -and am hoping to update my calender -how often should a complete risk assesment of the premises be carried out - we do a daily checklist, and currently complete a in depth risk assesment every term -also fire safety maintaince checklists, how often are these carried out ? are there any other assesments that need to be carried out termly / half termly ?

Hi we are in a village hall and we currently do a risk assessment sheet each session for premises both indoors/outdoors, this includes are the facilities fit for our purpose [electicity, gas, water, toilet areas].

A more indepth assessment every 6 months [ this is the Pre-school Learning Alliance one].

All electrical appliances are checked annually [ PAT tested].

Fire extinguishers checked by Parish Council and Fire service annually and certificated.

Fire drills including differing times, staff/visitors, children each half-term every session.

Outings have a seperate sheet as and when required.

Not sure if thats any help. :o
