Policy For Allegation Against Staff

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have been asked by OFSTED to produce a policy covering what action we would take on a possible allegation of child abuse on a member of staff?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated! :o

Hi Jackie

Welcome to the forum.

This forms part of our child protection policy-a sub policy if you like.

Do you have an area handbook for child protection? This should be something your local EYDCP has put together in conjunction with social services. I used the advice in that and adapted it for our policy.

I can email a copy of ours if you like. Send me a personal message with your email address, don't post it on this thread for safety reasons.

Either that or I could add an attachment on here for you if you like.

I think Linda's idea is a good one; incorporating it into a broader Child Protection Policy is the best way as it avoids hundreds of separate policies.

Hi,

Ours is part of our Child Protection policy, too. Seems silly to clutter the place up with lots of inter-connected policies!

PS - Welcome!! Nearly missed that!! :o What sort of setting are you in?
