basilbrush
does anyone have any good ideas for forms of baseline assessment for a child entering nursery, with reception children i have completed a short form listing colours, letter sounds, counting, and reading numbers, but feel that a nursery one needs to be different, any ideas? Guest
I'm Reception but I received a 'pack' from a nursery which had picture outline (I think it was a teddy) which was split up into lines with statements such as I can zip up my coat - which was coloured in and dated. they had different pictures for different things, which could be used as a baseline and added to as you gather assessment about the child. Some statements that I can remeber of hand were: Can go to the toilet by myself Can wash my hands Can zip up coat
catma
have been having some discussions about this. For it to be of value to show development at a later point wouldn't it have to be linked to the curriculum/stepping stones? Discuss!! Cx
