I have just finished reading this book and have to say how fantastic and moving it was. From a subject which I mostly try and avoid it tackles a terrible situation and makes you question your own relationships with children and how children cope with what they think is 'normal' It made me think of child development and how Im always racking my brain for creative activities with children.

Jack and his sitation will stay with me for a long time :o

Nearly finished! Fab! Wanted to recommend it myself. Fantastic, creative parenting in the most difficult of circumstances. Contrasts and comparisons between children who have been brought up with all the benefits 'normal' modern commercialised lifestyle and a desperately 'deprived' early childhood.

Also highlights conflict between needs of parents and those of little children.

Enjoy and keep on recommending it.
