Stargrower
Hello everyone I'm just wading through Ofsted forms to re-register my setting before a change of premises. The paperwork says I need a CRB that is countersigned by Ofsted and I was wondering how this is done. My last CRB was done when I did EYPS and is two years old. The registered body for the CRB was the university and it is countersigned by them. Can anyone shed any light on how I get a CRB countersigned by Ofsted? Thanks Beehive
Guest
We have just moved and been re-registered and nobody mentioned that at all.
Stargrower
Thanks for your reply. Ofsted have told me I have to complete forms EY2 (declaration and consent form), EY0 (application form for the Early Years Register) and a new health declaration. I asked others on the forum and they said that they had to do all of that too. Part of the EY2 form asks for a CRB disclosure countersigned by Ofsted and an Independent Safeguarding Authority check. What a lot of paperwork! Beehive
Guest jenpercy
Ofsted will want to do their own CRB. Ask them to send you the paperwork. Our Supervisor had to do one to move out of premises into nearby school for 6 weeks during deoration as this was counted as a complete new registration. Guest
When I first rang they told me all these things as well but I put the form in and then got to speak to someone from "Applications" who said as we were just moving and not changing anything else that we were ok with all the checks etc we already had. And I have spoken to Ofsted LOTS recently! Also don't forget to resign your old certificate when you have the new one, although they may not tell you to do this.
