Guest Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Hi all I have some agency work in reception as a teaching assistant and really want to make a good impression. Can anyone give me any tips about what you would look for in a good TA I am a nursery nurse so I do have early years experiance Thanks x
Fredbear Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 (edited) Welcome IrisMarie, not actually a TA myself but did lots of training in the school sector. I think like all job roles within care and education, a capacity to turn your hand to whatever the day brings, this may mean being multi-skilled in everything. Also to beable to work using own iniative, but also to respect how a teacher likes her/his class to run. The most important skill i think you can possess is laughter and a sense of fun. Good luck and enjoy i'm sure you will be fine. Edited October 17, 2010 by bridger
