Guest
Has anyone heard anything about legal changes that mean you are unable to ask health questions on job application forms from October? I think it's something to do with new equality legislation that's coming in, but I can't remember/find where I saw this. I'm sure it said you would have to send a health questionnaire out when/once the job offer is made.

Guest jenpercy
you are allowed to ask questions about health that relate directly to the job. The example given is heavy lifting. This has always been good practice. I would imagine that it is still OK to ask about health matters that might impinge on your ability to look after children - although I would like to see some guidance on what you can ask from OFSTED, SkillsActive or some such. everyone is so very good at telling you what you can't do and what you have done wrong
Guest
Thanks for the replies. I've found out the Acas are offering some local training on this, so will look into that further.
