Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, wondered if anyone could help. I have an interview for a Reception job on monday and I have to read a book to a small group and then teach a phonics activity to them ( linking to the book). I have 20mins for both and the children are on phase 3.

Any ideas much appreciated

thanks so much

Hello

I don't know if I am going to be much help but I use a puppet that only understand sound talk and this helps the chn segment and blend. Also, we use treasure boxes with pictures or objects relating to the sound. You could choose a book and then link it to your treasure box etc. Also, on national strategies website they have some nice video showing letters and sounds teaching.

Hope some of this helps.
