Guest
Hi everyone, I was just wondering 3 things. How often do you observe the children in your class per week? Do your TAs observe and record for you? Does anyone have a good proforma you use when observing that has all the scale points on and room for notes? Thank you all xxx Edited March 20, 2010 by Guest
Guest
In my nursery each person has 3 children a week who they do a long observation on which includes the 2 TAs. We also do post it notes on other children throughout the week.
Guest
My TA's are key workers, we all observe all children once a week but we als play with our key children on a daily basis, we collect work and make observations on the spur throughout the week. We take photos and video them all the time. We also have a meeting once a week to discuss the children what their needs are and what their next steps are as well as their emotional needs. x Each adult has a pouch in which we pop obs, photos work etc anything we notice even if their not our key children x
Freefaller
I have an alphabetical list of my class and me and my TA attempt to obsrve 1 child each in the morning and 1 each in the afternoon and tick them off as we go. That way everyone gets observed regularly. Plus constant spontaneous/anecdotal observations throughout the day.
