Cdwc Qualifications Audit Tool

A call to all you who might be teachers with a ceriticate in education, pre 1980.

 

Has anyone else tried to input an old cert ed into the CDWC audit tool. This qual was achieved by a colleague many years ago, who we have always treated as having QTS, but can't find her qual on the CDWC site.

 

She was cleared to do EYPS should she so wish (but didn't) which surely means that her qual is still recognised by the CDWC.....or does it?

 

Any help greatfully recieved!!

I am not a teacher but think you will find that 'teaching qualifications' are not individually listed in the CWDC list. There is an explanation on the CWDC site and I wonder if this part applies to your colleague?

 

•Certificate of Education and Bachelor of Education and PGCE and QTS

The teaching qualifications listed above are appropriate to be counted in the qualified staff ratio at level 6 if gained in the Foundation Stage or Key Stage One

what about all the bits about very specific courses such as communication with parents or children etc. do staff have to have been on a course specifically addressing these?
