apple Posted January 24, 2010 Share Posted January 24, 2010 Hi all has anyone had any good training in Leadership in Nursery (school ) or Early years. By default I have found myself leading in nursery and I am struggling to get a grasp of what it means and to appreciate what the role entails. I have got a job description but I am at the stage where I really need some proper training in this area in order to make myself and the subsequently the team more effective. I would ideally want a course longer than a day or two, something to get my teeth into! Has anyone done such a course or know where I could find out more? Guest Posted January 24, 2010 Share Posted January 24, 2010 My new manager has an NVQ qualification in Team Leading which she said was good. As far as I can gather it's not as long as a childcare level 3 NVQ but is in a similar style. Other than that your LA might be able to help you through Business Link or similar organisations.
